In 1940 America, Thurgood Marshall is a lawyer and a member of the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) who fights against racial inequalities. He is a daring character who is not scared of challenging authority and who relies on his knowledge of the law to get himself and his clients out of the trickiest situations. This film tells the trial of one of Marshall's clients, a black man accused of having raped his white employer. This is an inspiring tribute to Thurgood Marshall, first African-American Supreme Court Justice in the history of the US.
